Statistics: Russia’s inflation at 0.26% in October 12–Monday
MOSCOW, Oct 20 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation accelerated to 0.26% from October 12 through Monday from 0.22% in the previous week, and reached 5.98% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.
Prices for poultry rose by 1.5%, for eggs by 2.79%, for sugar grew by 0.81%, for sunflower oil by 0.11%, and for buckwheat by 1.03%.
Prices for fruit and vegetables increased by 2.3% on average, with prices for potatoes rising by 3.62%, for cucumbers by 14.26%, and for tomatoes by 9.92%. Cabbage prices fell by 0.05%, while onion prices fell by 0.9%, carrot prices by 0.35%, apple prices 1.2%.
Gasoline and diesel fuel prices increased by 0.3%.
